We’ve added a new extra to our product line that has a special meaning to us: the cowrie sea shell. The time we started HUMBLE & BOMGO back in 2012, we used to wear tiny cowrie shells as rings and chains and we still do so. The ring is a symbol for both of us when we are far away from each other, residing on two different continents. Therefore we thought it would be a great add-on for our label, especially on the sneakers. The symbolism of cowrie shells differs form culture to culture such as womanhood, fertility and birth. For our label, we define them as a symbol for love and protection.
